Of winter's yard
The swingset's frozen
And the garden's covered up
It's snowing hard
Heat the water
Make hot chocolate
When I come inside from school
My hands are frozen
And by boots and socks are frozen
"Mom, I'm cold..."
Kitchens warm around my body
Snowflakes melting in my hair
Waters dripping down my forehead
Mother dries it - she takes care
Now I'm putting on my snowsuit
Going outside to play again
With my neighbours
In the freshly shoveled piles
Out in the front
Called for dinner
Leave the snowfort, snowmen
Army overnight
Back inside hot chocolate's
Waiting to warm
My head, my hands, my heart
Kitchens warm around my body
Furnace drying up my clothes
Been a long hard day at play
